Angular contact ball bearings have very good performance in medium and high speed and heavy load applications. They are widely used in aerospace engines,high-speed trains, powertrain systems, satellite bearings, and rocket bearings. The friction torque and frictional power consumption of high-speed angular contact ball bearings are the main factors affecting their wear, heat rise, and service life. Therefore,in designing an excellent angular contact ball bearing, various friction torques must be studied in depth.Based on the theory of dynamic analysis of rolling bearings, combined with the related theories of contact, collision, friction theory and elastohydrodynamic lubrication, the paper introduces the source and calculation formula of the various frictional moments of the bearing in detail, and the components of the angular contact ball bearings are adopted. The derivation of the relationship between the functions establishes a mathematical model of angular contact ball bearings.Partial development of some modules of ADAMS multibody dynamics software, the use of Fortran language to compile the relationship between the bearing components and motion differential equations custom subroutine, and use ADAMS powerful interface technology to compile the dynamic link The library file(*.dll)is linked with the ADAMS/Solver solver and the law of angular contact ball bearing dynamics is used to study the variation of the friction torque.Taking a certain type of angular contact ball bearing as an example, the influence of the bearing structure parameters and typical working condition parameters on the friction characteristics of the bearing is obtained through simulation analysis. The simulation results show that: 1.The increase of axial load will increase the total frictional torque and power consumption of the bearing;2.The increase of radial load will cause the total frictional torque of the bearing to increase slowly and the ball spin friction. The increase is slightly greater than other frictional torques;3.In the high-speed range, the increase in speed will increase the total frictional torque of the bearing;4.Within a certain range of ambient temperature, the increase in temperature will cause the total friction of the bearing. The moment increases first and then decreases, and the total bearing friction torque between 40°C and 60°C is the smallest;5.The gradual increase of the gap ratio causes the total frictionmoment of the bearing to increase first and then decrease. The gap ratio is about 0.8.The minimum frictional torque;6.In the medium and high-speed operation and within a certain range, the total frictional torque of the bearing decreases with the increase of the radius radii of curvature of the inner and outer grooves, and the reduction is roughly similar.7.The total frictional moment of the angular contact ball bearing of square pocket cage at low speed is slightly smaller than that of the round pocket hole. The total friction torque of the angular contact ball bearing of the round pocket cage at medium and high speed is slightly lower than that of the square pocket. The overall frictional torque of the hole, the frictional power consumption trend of the two at roughly the same speed.8.At low rotational speeds, the total frictional torque and frictional power consumption of two types of angular contact ball bearings for rigid and flexible cages are approximately the same.In a certain range of medium and high speeds, the overall frictional moments of flexible cage angular contact ball bearings are The frictional power consumption is slightly lower than that of a rigid cage bearing.
