With the development of the times,more and more high-rise buildings emerge in China’s major cities.Because of pursuing for building’s appearance and function,more and more irregular buildings which have the characteristics of stiffness mutation,irregular shape and large eccentricity begin to appear in people’s vision,which is bad for seismic resistance and wind resistance and is easy for irregular twist.So it is necessary for us to study twist control on these buildings.In this paper,we study on a high-rise hotel in Jiangmen City,Guangdong Province.This study belongs to one part of the National Science Fund Project—wind induced vibration control study of strong torsion long cantilever high-rise building(project approval No.:51578434).The main research contents are as follows:(1)With the analysis of a high-rise hotel in Jiangmen City,we find that this building is a comprehensive building,engineering for frame shear wall structure which have characteristics of irregular twist and irregular plane.It is an out-of-codes high-rise building.(2)Using linear filtering method to simulate the fluctuating wind of a high-rise shear wall structure by writing MATLAB program and verify its effectiveness.Using AR model linear filtering method to simulate the fluctuating wind load is valid and can meet the requirements of theoretical calculation.(3)It introduces the properties and characteristics of structure wind load and do the theoretical derivation about the downwind-induced response of the structure.(4)Structural torsional theory is derived and layer twist stiffness is calculated,and it is easy for structure to cause torsion concentration where have characteristic of stiffness mutation and it is inadvisable only improve structural stiffness in order to reduce structural response,even can cause opposite result.(5)Describe the twist control principle of circular tuned liquid column damper and derive its twist resistance theory.Using MATLAB software programming to analyze structure time history.Finally,wind-induced response are compared on before and after installing circular tuned liquid column damper.We find that it is valid for circular tuned liquid column damper to control structural twist,moreover,the torsional response is larger,the control effect is better.But it is common to control translational displacement,meanwhile the parameters setting of the circular tuned liquid column damper is important,and the reasonable parameter is the key of effective control.If the parameters of the damper are unreasonable,it is likely to increase the dynamic response of the structure.
