With the rapid development of industry and the sharp rise of some emerging areas such as intelligent equipment,the traditional reducer can hardly meet the new requirements.Hence developing a new kind of reducer with big ratio,high precision,excellent performance and the ability of adapting to different working conditions can become a powerful boost to the manufacturing capacity.Considering of this,a new RV reducer,which owns a variable transmission ratio,compact structure,sensitive shift feature,small transmission error and wide torque capacity,is put forward.The following research focuses on its dynamic performance and transmission accuracy.Basing on the design objective,a reasonable transmission scheme is settled.The reducer turns to be a multilevel reduction system which consists of speed change mechanism and RV drive part.After calculating and checking the parameter of each part,it is acceptable to complete the whole structure arrangement and assembly.The 3D model of the new reducer is the basis of its virtual prototype that is established in ADAMS.In order to get a reliable result,there are three aspects of checkouts to ensure the validity of this model.Then study the angular velocity and angular acceleration of the key parts and discuss its dynamic behavior.The research on transmission accuracy of the new reducer comes next.According to the mass-spring equivalent model method,the equivalent error produced by micrometric displacement,machining error and assembly error is figured out,in this way,the equilibrium equation is set up.Since the equation is nonlinear,the Newton Iteration method can be an appropriate way to solve the 17 equations.Then it moves on to the impact of micrometric displacement,machining and assembly error on the transmission error.Takes different values to figure out the corresponding error curve,and due to the change of the curve,can conclude the critical factor which has a vital effect on the transmission error.Controlling these factors can effectively provide a way to improve the accuracy of the system.Research results show that the RV reducer with variable transmission ratio can satisfy the requirements of the designed goals and accomplish transmission of variable speed and high precision under large torque.All the research that is done to design a new structure reducer with advanced functions and study its dynamic performance and transmission accuracy has certain significance to the innovation and development of the reducer.
