In recent years,with the continuous improvement of automobile ‘networking and intelligentization',the problem of safety and efficiency in transportation has become increasingly complex,which has aroused wide interest and attention in the community.Vehicular Ad Hoc Network(VANET),a wireless network for V2 X communication,provides a new opportunity to create a more comfortable,safe and efficient traffic environment.However,the large-scale and open environment of VANET brings many problems and challenges on information security,especially the vehicular authentication problem.As the first defensive line of VANET security,authentication is an essential prerequisite for reliable communication of VANET.In traditional authentication scheme,the authenticated party has to send its identity information to the prover to verify the legitimacy.However,the identity of the verified party in authentication is not anonymous,which causes the leak of privacy information.In addition,VANET environments are characterized by fast movement speed and short communication time between nodes.Such characteristics demand that both authentication efficiency and information security should be fully considered when node authentication and privacy protection are achieved.Therefore,the design of VANET anonymous authentication scheme with high security and efficiency is the research focus in VANET.This paper carries out in-depth research and exploration on the anonymity and high efficiency of VANET authentication process,and its main work is as follows:First of all,this thesis analyzes and sums up the threats and requirements of VANET in terms of information security.At the same time,the thesis analyzes and summarizes the related research achievements from the VANET anonymity problem,efficiency problem and message security problem in the process of authentication at domestic and foreign.Then,a decentralized efficient authentication scheme is proposed to address the problem of node authentication and its efficiency.The scheme uses decentralized anonymous authentication to avoid sending certification to Trust Authority(TA),thereby reducing the certification burden of it.At the same time,the Road Side Unit(RSU)adopts the method of key transmission to improve the efficiency of authentication.The results of security and performance analysis show that the scheme satisfies the safety requirements of VANET and is superior to the existing scheme in terms of performance.Finally,a VANET anonymous authentication scheme based on pseudonym and group signature is proposed to solve the problem in frequent update of vehicalur pseudonym.In view of the authentication problem for illegal vehicle identity,the pseudonym based method is adopted to realize the anonymous authentication and solve the privacy leakage problem in the process of it.Meanwhile,in order to solve the frequent identification problem of legal vehicle,the new scheme adopts group signature to improve the authentication efficiency.The safety theory analysis and performance evaluation results show that this scheme is not only secure,but also has a high performance advantage.
