Aiming at the vibration problem of high speed and heavy load gear transmissions,based on the finite element method,a finite element model of a pair of spiral bevel gears is established.The transient analysis is performed to illustrate the vibration of gears from multiple angles.At the same time,the modal analysis of the driven bevel gear is conducted to explore the relationship between resonance speed and frequency.Based on that,a transient analysis of the spiral bevel gear with additional damping ring is performed,comparing the calculated results of the non-damping rings to illustrate the damping effect of the damping ring.In addition,after adding the damping ring,the modal frequency of the gear increases,reduce the possibility of resonance.Optimizing damping ring parameters could avoid gear resonance.The research results of this paper can guide the application of damping ring in the gear transmission system,which has certain engineering practical significance and value.The main contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Finite element modeling and transient analysis of spiral bevel gearThe three-dimensional model of spiral bevel gears was meshed by ANSA software,and the loads and constraints were applied.The quasi-static analysis was performed by LS-DYNA software to verify the accuracy of the model.Then,the transient analysis was performed.The calculation results were analyzed from the aspects of gear contact force,gear stress,and axial vibration of the pair of bevel gear.(2)Modal and resonance analysis of spiral bevel gearThe modal analysis of the driven bevel gear is analyzed,and the resonance theory is briefly introduced.On this basis,in the range of working speed,calculate the vibration of gears at different speeds,and determine the resonance speed,which corresponds to the diameter of resonance type.As a result,it was found that when the rotational speed is 14420 rmp,the two-step forward wave resonance occurred;when the rotational speed is 19200 rmp,the two-step backward wave resonance occurred.When the rotational speed are 14900 rmp and 16477 rmp,the three-step forward wave resonance occurred;when the rotational speed are 17900 rmp and 20300 rmp,the three-step backward wave resonance occurred.(3)Damping ring technologyThis part introduces the general situation and main classification of passive vibration reduction technology,the main types of damping rings and the mechanism of damping.In this part,the contact analysis and calculation of the integral damping ring and the C-damping ring are carried out by using the elastic-plastic mechanics.It provides a reference for the simulation of the boundary condition.(4)Transient analysis and comparison of spiral bevel gear additional damping ring.A transient analysis of the spiral bevel gear with additional damping ring is performed,comparing the calculated results of the non-damping rings to illustrate the damping effect of the damping ring.The low-frequency amplitude of the axial displacement of the driven gear is reduced by 13% in amplitude,and the high-frequency amplitude is reduced by 56.9% in amplitude.The axial acceleration of the driven gear is reduced by 60.1%.By comparing the gear modality;it is found that the modal frequency of with damping ring is improved.The natural frequency of the two-step is increased by 1.62 times,the natural frequency of the three-step is increased by 1.36 times.Reduce the possibility of diameter resonance.Optimizing damping ring parameters could avoid gear resonance.
