For more than 20 years of commercialization,shopping center is leading the transformation of social economy,cultural trend and lifestyle with the ever-changing speed.As a combination of shopping,catering and entertainment,shopping center has become a good place for people to enjoy leisure and entertainment.However,the vast shopping center is hard to see.On the other hand,half a year of schooling in Japan has made me deeply impressed by the delicacy of Japan’s consideration of the needs of the elderly and the disabled.As shopping center is closer to the public,it is extremely urgent to create a shopping center catering to the needs of all types of customers.As the universal design concept has been accepted by more and more people,the design of universal design as an unobstructed design in the context of the new era is bringing convenience to all types of people with a broader view.In this paper,on the basis of theoretical study,based on investigation and research on chongqing and Sapporo,Japan,and questionnaire survey,deduce the indoor shopping center in our country the improvement direction of the universal design and universal design impact factor,and put forward universal design on the basis of the strategy and build the evaluation system,which summarizes the strategy mainly inspired by comparison between China and Japan and Japanese cases;The Comprehensive Assessment System for Universal Design Achievement is adopted by the universal design research institute of Japan.Research purpose is put forward and construct conforms to China’s national conditions of large shopping center general indoor design strategy and evaluation system,expect for the establishment of relevant laws and regulations for reference in the future,also for old buildings of universal design and architectural design in a practical exploration of universal design level.The article is divided into six chapters: the first chapter defines the origin of the research,the research status,the purpose and significance of the research,the object and content,the research method and the research framework;The second chapter on domestic shopping center development,universal design theory,the Japanese universal design rules and practice,elaborates the environment barriers as well as different types of customers,lay a theoretical basis for study of below;The third,fourth,fifth and sixth chapters are the core chapters of this article.The third and fourth chapter for large shopping center of the indoor environment of the universal design of field investigation and questionnaire,the investigation of link main selection Sapporo,Japan and China chongqing two cities large shopping center for comparative study,summed up the indoor shopping center in our country from the current situation of the problem of universal design and improvement direction;Questionnaire survey aims to analyze the psychological needs of different types of groups through the I and II questionnaires,and further clarify the influence factors of universal design.In chapter 5,based on the research conclusions,this paper puts forward the universal design strategy of shopping center,which is easy to be used in the facilities,and the safety and convenience of shopping moving line and the efficient and easy to understand three aspects.In chapter 6,based on the previous research,the universal design evaluation system of shopping center is used for reference.Chapter 7 summarizes the whole thesis,and puts forward the main conclusions,innovation points and further research directions of this research.
