The scale of the construction industry is becoming as big as those of the manufacturing industry,while the efficiency of the construction industry is much lower than the latter.This is mainly because of the low level of information technology applied of our country which is about one tenth of the world-wide average level.BIM(Building Information Modeling)is the information technology changing over the manufacturing mode of construction industry.Application of BIM is one of the most important way to raise the efficiency of the construction industry.However,to a certain extent,the understanding level of benefit of BIM application slows down the promotion domestically.Through discussion of benefit of BIM application,this thesis will build a BIM benefit evaluation system that provides some reference of evaluation of BIM to future construction projects.Firstly,this thesis reviews the research at home and abroad about the application situation and benefit of BIM and found that most of the research foucus only on the measurement of some specific benefit indexes or the content of BIM application benefit.The number of study of evaluation system is small.To build a comprehensive evaluation system,by statistically analysing the literature about BIM benefit,this thesis summarizes the main content and the benefit implementation model of BIM by frequency analysis method.Basing on the economic evaluation theory and the information technology evaluation theory of domestic construction project,as well as the benefit index system building principle,the thesis lists an index list which distribute twelve indexes into five aspects(Finance,Product,Organization,Management and Strategy),and raises the measurement and evaluation method according to the content and feature of different index.Afterwards,this thesis builds the BIM benefit index evaluation system by combining the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)and Fuzzy(Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation Model)method.Applying the principle of AHP,this thesis builds two levels of index system and calculates the weight of every index.Based on order of importance,the weight of indexes is ranking as Management(0.53),Product(0.27),Finance(0.1),Strategy(0.06)and Organization(0.04),which indicates BIM brings the main benefit to the aspects of Management,Product and Finance of a construction project.Among the second level indexes,‘manufacturing efficiency' and ‘working period' are the key factors and have more portion of weight,which is 0.36 and 0.15.Afterwards,the evaluation system is built by combining the Fuzzy method.At last,applying the BIM benefit evaluation system,this thesis evaluates the benefit of BIM application of a construction project of Shenzhen Metro.It measures and calculates the benefit indexes from five aspects and conclude the benefit evaluation level of the BIM application,which shows the result is ‘Strongly Positive'.The BIM benefit evaluation system built in this thesis,to some extent,extends the related theoretical system of evaluation of BIM application benefit through applying the method of statistics,AHP and Fuzzy.This system includes benefit indexes from five aspects which can assess the influence of BIM application comprehensively and logically.Determination of weight of second level indexes helps participants to know the benefit of BIM application in different area.In the system,the quantity indexes usually refer to one or more calculation method,which benefits the evaluation system to be applied to different projects.
