Study On The Effect Of Plant Campus Plant Color On College Students’ Physical And Mental Health

The psychological health of college students has been widespread focused in recent years.Campus environment plays an important role in helping to improve the physical and mental health of college students.Plant color is the most intuitive element in the natural environment.It has a direct impact on people’s physical and mental health,so it is meaningful to explore the relationship between plant colors and the negative emotions of college students.After investigating the color of campus plant landscape in Xi’an,the researchers studied the university students’ preference for plant landscape color and their evaluation of landscape beauty.Finally,the researchers explored the influence of college students’ preference plant colors on the physical and psychological health of college students.The conclusion is as follows:(1)Autumn plant color in the campus of Xi’an can be divided into 12 colors systems: green,yellow-green,green-yellow,yellow,orange,yellow-orange,gray-green,gray-yellow,grayorange,gray-Red,gray-purple,purple,and orange.Among them,moderate olive green and moderate yellowish green have the highest frequency of use in the green color system,and the four color systems purple,green-yellow,orange,and gray-green have the lowest frequency of use.The plant color of the entrance area is mainly moderate yellowish green,dark yellowish green and gray olive green;the plant color in the teaching area mainly includes gray olive green,moderate olive green,light yellow,strong orange yellow,and greyish purple;The color of plants in recreational areas is mainly moderate yellowish green,greyish olive green,moderate olive green,strong yellow green,and brilliant yellow;The color of the plant landscape in the dormitory area is dominated by greyish olive green,moderate olive green,dark yellowish green,and brilliant yellow green.(2)The preference of students for single-color plant landscapes is green,red and yellow.The order of preference for combined color plant landscapes is yellow with green,red with green.It shows that in the future construction of the campus environment,the landscape of evergreen trees(ground cover)and evergreen,deciduous trees with shrubs(ground cover)community types should be increased,and the former are mostly green trees,while the latter are mostly yellow-green combinations.The number of different plants color in the communityshould be moderate,and 6 species should be the best number of plant landscapes.That means in the future campus landscape construction,6 colors in a group of plant landscapes are suitable.The main tonal ratio of the plant landscape should be prominent,and at least one main tonal ratio should account for more than 30% of the total area,indicating that there must be priorities when performing plant disposition.The proportions of cold and warm colors must be divided into primary and secondary levels,which cannot be close to 1:1.The autumn landscape in the entrance area,cultural education area,and teaching area should be mainly plant warm-colored plants.In the recreational area,the plant landscape should be dominated by evergreen plants with few deciduous plants.The distribution of the color distribution of the lower,middle,and upper levels should be coordinated.This indicates that in the future plant landscape configuration,the heights of trees and shrubs must be coordinated and cannot be significantly different.two types of color harmony in the same plant landscape is most appropriate.(3)Green plants had a significant effect on tension,depression and panic;red plants had a significant effect on depression and panic.green and yellow plants have a significant effect on heart rate reduction.Therefore,the researchers suggest that in the restoration of campus landscape construction mainly planted green plants,with planting red,yellow plants in order to achieve the purpose of promoting the mental health of college students.
