Precast concrete building component manufacturing factory appeared with the promotion of the industrial building industry and the information industry.In order to meet the quantity demanded and productivity for PC components,the introduction of information technology for component manufacturing factory and the application of information technology for the entire production cycle is a task which brooks no delay.As one of five types of open standard in the buildingSMART portfolio for the construction industry based on the EXPRESS language,the Industrial Foundation Class(IFC)holds the advantages of versatility,common software support,and scalability.The IFC system is a kind of computer language supports the integration of information of different kinds of professional fields of construction products more than description of traditional architectural products,at the same time,the IFC model can extend the primary idea based on the predefined attributes.The model also shows a good interaction while transporting data and information between different software.This paper analyzes the connotation of Industrial Buildings and explains the essential characteristic features of Industrial Buildings from the five main aspects including standardized design,industrialized manufacture,fabricated construction,integrated decoration and information management.It has been learned that the main problem PC buildings met at the present stage lies in "splitting for assembly" based on field survey in manufacture and interviews with front-line technicians of PC buildings.The transformation of the overall management method of PC building should take PC component as the new kernel of management since the chain of information between project participants is splitted and the "information island" effect is critical,the whole process management objects of design,production,transportation and fabricating should focuse on the PC components and make the components the epitome of the entire PC building,the full lifecycle information of the building should be fully integrated in the design development phase which would be raised to a new height in management.This paper analyzes and clarifies the basic concept of information in computer science and information science by introducing the relationship between ontology and information based on the DIKW theory-the kernel of information integration is the relationship based on simple initial data.Then analyzes the method of information integration with the related theories of computer science.The analysis of the entry point of information technology in PC buildings has made it clear that information technology is the necessary condition in the full lifecycle management of industrialized buildings.This paper specify a information model framework of a PC component manufacturing factory with the analysis of IFC system through the related documents and manuals.The design development phase and factory production phase of PC components are set as two key research objectives.By analyzed,classified,and summarized the accompanying information from within,the appropriate IFC entity for integrated analysis of relevant information is selected.The overall informationization of the component factory should be improved through the exploration of the IFC method for fitting building components.
