In recent years,with the development of the concept of preventive maintenance,the Highway Management Department has paid more and more attention to adopting different maintenance and repair measures at different stages of the pavement life cycle,formulated the construction and maintenance plans for the full-life of highways,to effectively maintain the construction results and preserve the value of highway assets.The Sand-containing Fog Seal Technology can delay the aging of asphalt pavement,maintain the anti-skid performance of pavement,improve the appearance of pavement,and prolong the period of pavement overhaul,and it is an economical and effective preventive maintenance measure.In a large number of engineering applications,it was found that after adding fine sands to the fog seal,the initial anti-skid ability of the highway surface has improved compared to the traditional fog seal,but after a certain time of opening,the surface fine sands would be worn away and decolorized.It leads to the attenuation of anti-skid performance,insufficient durability and increased driving risk.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to carry out the research on the application of durable sand-containing fog seal in highway maintenance engineering.Firstly,this paper investigates and analyzes the research status of fog seal and sand-containing fog seal,understands the technical characteristics of sand-containing fog seal,and analyzes the problems existing in fog seal and sand-containing fog seal,so as to provide foundation support for the smooth development of this research.Secondly,the factors affecting the performance of sand fog seal and the reasons for insufficient durability are analyzed,and the durability evaluation test and optimization measures of sand fog seal are developed.The control range of the key factors for the comprehensive durability of the sand-fog sealing layer is proposed:the sand content is 15%-25%,the liquid-solid content is 50%-60%,and the spraying amount is 0.8kg/m2.Then,study on the construction ratio of durability containing sand mist seal coat.The technical specifications of durable sand-fog sealing material are put forward,and the recommended sand content is 21.5%and the original liquid-solid content is 55%;the calculation model EAR = 0.218 + 0.909*TD is determined,and the spraying quantity is revised according to the actual working conditions of the pavement.Finally,the research results are applied to the paving of G328 experimental section in Yangzhou area.The seepage coefficient,structure depth and friction coefficient of the test section with sand-containing fog seal are tested regularly,and the field data are collected.This paper analyzes and studies the variation rule of sand-containing fog seal performance with time,and discusses the application of sand-containing fog seal in preventive maintenance of asphalt pavement.The research results of this paper provide theoretical and empirical support for the application of durable sand-containing fog seal technology in the maintenance of high-grade highway.It has important theoretical and practical significance for improving the quality of preventive maintenance engineering,improving the performance of asphalt pavement and prolonging the service life of asphalt pavement.
