Container transportation has the characteristics of easy loading and unloading,high transportation efficiency,good economic efficiency and excellent service quality,achieving the goal of intensive and efficient.Empty container transportation is an important operation link in the container transportation process,and its transportation efficiency and rationality affect the operation level of the entire container transportation.At present,the theoretical circle lacks the design and research on the operation mode of the cooperative coordination of empty containers in the region.At the same time,because of the problem of container ownership,the idea of multiparty cooperation is less applied to the research of empty container dispatch optimization.Therefore,the paper analyzes the status of empty container management,the process of transportation and the reasons for the problems,and studies the optimization of empty container transportation from the perspective of multi-party cooperation,mainly doing the following work:(1)From the perspective of cooperation between shipping companies,the combination and optimization of empty container transportation modes are studied.Based on the premise of empty container resource sharing,three modes of cooperation between shipping companies are described: triangular transportation mode,empty container mutual renting mode and empty container exchange mode.The advantages,disadvantages and applicable conditions of the three modes in real application are pointed out.Targeting to the decision-making problem of the combination of the three cooperation modes,aiming at minimizing the overall container transportation cost,the integer programming model with soft time window is constructed,and the solution algorithm is designed by using the idea of branch and bound.It provides an optimal solution for the combined decision making of the three cooperation modes to facing different situations.(2)From the perspective of cooperation between the consignee and the shipping company,the warehouse pre-positioning is put forward and the consignee participates in the management and storage of the empty container.Firstly,the rationality and feasibility of warehouse prepositioning are demonstrated by analyzing the transportation agreement signed by the shipping company and the consignee and dealing with the cooperation obstacles due to the right to use the container.Then,with the goal of minimizing the overall transportation cost and storage cost,the empty container transportation optimization model is constructed by fully considering the transportation cost,storage limit,and residence time window.(3)The above two schemes are simulated and calculated,and the control variable method is used to analyze various factors that may affect the transportation schemes.The results of the example not only verify the validity of the designed algorithm and coding,but also provide technical support for the decision-making of various influencing factors in real operation.Through the research on the number of shippers,the number of consignees,the number of inland warehouses and the number of empty containers available,the cooperation strategies between shipping companies in different scenarios are found.After the shipping company and the consignee remove the obstacles in the system,from the perspective of minimizing the logistics cost,the consignee's participation in the management of the empty container is very beneficial to reduce the overall logistics cost.
