Research And Innovative Application Of Lotus Art Form In Mogao Grottoes

Dunhuang Grottoes is a treasure house of Buddhist art in China,and the most artistic achievement is Mogao Grottoes.The Mogao Grottoes have long artistic creations and large scales.They cover a wide variety of art and are relatively well preserved,which is rare in the world.At the beginning of the 20 th century,the caves of the Mogao Grottoes were discovered,and the scriptures,instruments,paintings,instruments and other cultural relics in the cave were transmitted to Japan and Europe and the United States by various means.Since then,the Mogao Grottoes have attracted the attention of the world,and a large number of Chinese and foreign scholars have conducted long-term research on them,and today they have formed a huge content of Dunhuang studies.The murals,sculptures,and architecture of the Mogao Grottoes have been studied intensively,and there are many special works published,but there are fewer studies on the Lotus in the Mogao Grottoes,and there are fewer systems and depths.However,lotus is a holy flower of Buddhism,which has special significance for Buddhism,and there are many lotus images in Mogao Grottoes.Based on this,the research content of this paper is established.Through the study of a large number of archaeological literatures,this paper clarifies the distribution and morphological characteristics of the lotus art image in the Mogao Grottoes,including the location,type,period,style characteristics,evolution law,etc.,and will be in chronological order.The various lotuses in the Mogao Grottoes are presented in different themes.While grasping the overall shape of the lotus art form,it also shows the specific characteristics of various types of lotus,and has done a systematic and in-depth study.After that,this paper has done further work,and re-examines the lotus art form of Mogao Grottoes with the product family thought in modern design,which more intuitively shows the morphological characteristics and evolution of lotus.This transforms a very figurative image of the artistic image into a more abstract design symbol,making it a database and a source of inspiration for modern product design.Finally,guided by the product family thoughts contained in the lotus art,the design practice is carried out,and the traditional lotus art is served for modern life through a series of home product designs that conform to modern aesthetics.
