Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm is a new swarm intelligence optimization algorithm,which is proposed to simulate the process of bee colony,and it has been shown to be a powerful competitive power and has been widely used.The problem of Economic Dispatch as a complex optimization problem is an important research topic in power economic dispatch.So,it has important theoretical and practical significance to study to further improve its performance,and apply it to the ED problem.In the thesis,the basic principle and development status of the ABC algorithm and ED problem are introduced firstly.In view of the ABC algorithm in the search stage to the solution of the problem of insufficient utilization,slow convergence speed and easy to fall into local optimal solution,an improved ABC algorithm is proposed.For the sake of improving the ergodic property of the population search process by introducing the chaos mapping,it can overcomes the defects of random search algorithm itself,and by the improvement of the bee search strategy to reduce the repeated search algorithm.In order to verify the validity of the improved algorithm,some simulation experiments were carried out by selecting different test functions,the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.Then,the algorithm is applied to the static ED problem,the result shows this algorithm has certain advantages compared with some existing algorithms.On the basis of previous studies,Taking the structural features of Dynamic Economic Dispatch(DED)and the differences between DED problem and ED problem,the research group put forward a basic block iterative optimization structure to solve the DED problem.This method calculates a series of sub-DED problems which are equivalent to the original problem to achieve solving the original DED problem.Simulation results show this block iterative optimization method has a strong local search capability.On the basis of basic block iterative optimization computation,in order to further enhance the algorithm performance,the research group proposed a step-by-step block iterative optimization calculation method and solving the DED problem by using the improved ABC algorithm which is proposed previous.Finally,The validity of the proposed method is verified by the simulation calculation.
