Economic dispatch is an important optimization problem in power systems.The object is to rationally distribute the power generation unit to minimize costs.Which is meaningful in the use of energy,equipment to achieve the purpose of saving costs.In recent years,wind power has achieved extensive development due to its renewable and non-polluting characteristics and has made significant technological progress.However,due to its instability and unpredictable,how wind power be deployed on the premise of power system safe and stable,has a significant research value.Based on the study of the traditional economic dispatch problem,this paper studies the economic dispatch problem with wind power integrated.In this paper,first,the characteristics of wind power was analyzed.By analyzing the Weibull distribution of wind and the output power of the turbine,the distribution of output power can be obtained.It is found that in a given wind farm,the output power density of the wind farm will be ascertained cause the wind distribution and the output power of the turbine were set.Secondly,the fuel cost of a traditional thermal generation was analyzed.Actually,due to the threshold effect and prohibitions of the work area,the thermal unit have a non-convex,nonsmooth,and discontinuity cost curve.Minimize the total generation cost is the target of economic dispatch while satisfying various operational constraints,which include the network loss,the limit of generator,the constraint of climbing,and prohibitions of operating area.Later on,taking the traditional thermal power generation as the rotational reserve,and based on the traditional economic dispatch model,add the quantity constraints of wind power,constructed the economic dispatch model which with wind power integrate.Third,this paper proposed an improved learning strategy to artificial bee colony algorithm which would be used to solve the economic dispatch problem.In the proposed technique,a bee may be updated in all dimensions each time.All bees thus exploit its surroundings or move towards to a superior neighbor in terms of food source performance.Compared with test functions optimal results,that the proposed improved strategy improves the performance of the algorithm.Finally,the paper selected three power systems to simulate the economic dispatch problem.The results show that the algorithm can effectively calculate the economic dispatch problem,and the improved artificial bee colony algorithm has a better performance in optimizing these problems.In the economic dispatch with wind power,risk defined as the probability that turbines cannot output the required power.Furthermore,the relation between wind power and risk,the relation between fuel cost and risk can be obtained.In different power systems,the same relation between wind power and risk was obtained due to an ascertained distribution of wind power.Also,a similar discrete distribution between fuel costs and risks can be obtained in different systems...
