For thousands of years,the structure system of Chinese traditional architecture is dominated by wooden frame,and pavilion architecture is the epitome of Chinese traditional architecture,which affects each other with its unique aesthetic and ancient cultural relics.The research on the structural characteristics and evolution of The Palace Museum pavilions in Beijing has always been insufficient.Through a large number of field investigations and interviews with the carpenters of The Palace Museum,the present situation of the pavilions in The Palace Museum in Beijing has been studied.The types and practices are recorded in detail,sorted out and analyzed,and the similarities and differences of the wood structures of the pavilions of The Palace Museum in Beijing are combed.At the same time,the structural characteristics of the pavilions of The Palace Museum are explored theoretically.Author The typical cases of 52 pavilions in The Palace Museum are selected to discuss their structural characteristics and evolution.The thesis is mainly from the following four aspects:(1)the historical evolution of pavilions;(2)the types and distribution of pavilions;(3)the structural characteristics of pavilions;(4)the evolution of structural characteristics of pavilions.In summary,this paper attempts to analyze the structural characteristics of The Palace Museum Pavilion in Beijing,and the motivation of this feature from the origin of graduate students.From the horizontal and vertical dimensions of comparison and induction,from macro to micro gradually in-depth analysis,hoping to understand and grasp the structure of pavilions more essential and clear.
