This thesis is based on the sparrow of the China ancient architecture as a single piece of wood, based on the existing sparrows, to the ancient architecture of the Palace Museum in the Ming and Qing Dynasties as the main reference for the sparrow, to sum up all kinds of sparrows for induction and carding, from the appearance of the sparrow to the size of the sparrow for one by one to summarize and draw the results of research. This paper is divided into four chapters, plus the final conclusion of the whole paper, a total of five parts. The first part is the introduction. The main content of this study is the purpose and significance of this study and related literature review. The second part is the development of the Chinese ancient architecture in the sparrow of the Ming and Qing dynasties. This part begins with the ancient architecture in the sparrow, according to the known types of sparrows, dating back to the origin of the sparrow, in turn, the function, the profile change of the sparrow are summarized. This paper expounds the change and development of the sparrow in history.The third part is the shape features of the Chinese ancient architecture in the sparrow of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This part begins with the ancient architecture in the sparrow, according to the known types of sparrows, dating back to the classification of the sparrow, in turn, the material, the carving methods, the decoration and regional characteristics of the sparrow are summarized, a more complete analysis of the sparrow as a department alone into all aspects of the detail type wood pieces. The fourth part is the research on the shape and practice of the sparrow in the Palace Museumof the ancient architecture. This part is the key chapter of this thesis. The Palace Museum, formerly known as the Forbidden City, it is a master of ancient Chinese wooden architecture. It is also the official system of the essence of the embodiment of the most neat. So I chose the Palace Museum construction group as an example of the sparrow study. According to the use function of the the Palace Museum, the buildings in the Palace Museum are divided into nine areas. In view of space and field measurement conditions, after comparison I chose the house bedroom living area of the Palace Museum as the research object of measurement. The main building of the house bedroom living area is located on the central axis of the Palace Museum. It is central building community of the inner court of the Palace Museum. I will summarize these data be arranged, all data exchange table, then compared with the original norms of the sparrow for comparison, and make a summary. The fifrth part is the conclusion. This part starts from the whole, through the research and measurement of the sparrow, the results were compared and analyzed, and the corresponding conclusions were drawn.
