With the development of China's economy and the deepening of urbanization,high-speed railways and urban rail transit have played an increasingly important role in people's lives.With the development of the rail transit,the requirements for the employees in the rail transit industry are getting higher and higher.How to improve the quality and efficiency of training and provide a large number of high-quality talents for rail transit operators has become an urgent problem to be solved.Building a train virtual reality system and applying it to personnel training can solve the problems of poor communication,low realism,low efficiency,and difficulty in meeting actual needs.Therefore,research on the key technologies for constructing the train virtual reality system has strong theoretical and practical significance.In this paper,the design of train virtual reality system is taken as the research object,and the model optimization technology and space tracking technology,which are essential for building virtual reality system,are studied.After that,a design scheme of the system was proposed.The main work content of the article as follows:(1)In the aspect of model optimization technology,an improved method is proposed to solve the problem that the traditional triangular mesh simplification algorithm may cause the structural damage of the train and other complex models.This method adds a patch to the traditional edge folding algorithm.It first fixes the problems of point redundancy and edge redundancy in the model,and then simplifies the model by multiple rounds of simplification.In this paper,the effectiveness of the method is tested by the model of the train head,bogie and door system.The test results show that the method can achieve more than 50% optimization rate for all models.At the same time,the integrity of the model is well protected,and no model is damaged during the optimization process.(2)In the aspect of space tracking technology,an electromagnetic tracking algorithm which combines the spatial rotation of the source and the three-axis time-division emission of the source is proposed for the large size of the train model and the high requirements for positioning accuracy.The horizontal degree of freedom of the tracked target is determined by rotating the source to position the source with the tracked target in a desired position.Then the rotational degrees of freedom of the target are determined by means of a three-axis time division of the source.The simulation results show that the method has good positioning accuracy.(3)On the basis of the technical research,this paper analyzes the design principles of the train virtual reality system and builds the overall framework of the system.According to the framework of the system,the system is divided into theoretical learning and operation.Three functional modules,such as training and assessment,and detailed design of each module's functions and sub-modules that should be included in it.After that,the four-layer logic architecture of the system is given,and the physical structure diagram of the system is proposed according to the function of the system.This paper studies the key technologies related to train virtual reality system and proposes a system design.Through the research in this paper,the application of virtual reality technology in the rail transit industry can be further expanded,and the efficiency of personnel training can be improved.
