| With the acceleration of urbanization in China, the phenomenon of urban population centralization and the regionalization of medical institutions has emerged.Large-scale general hospitals, which integrate outpatient and emergency treatment, medical technology, hospitalization and scientific research, have become the main choices for people to consult. At the same time, with the continuous development and improvement of medical disciplines, the disciplines of large-scale general hospitals are more comprehensive and larger.Because of the special characteristics of the users and the complicated medical process, hospital users often get lost in the public space of large general hospitals. This not only increases the hospital users’ stay time in public space, but also affects the timely treatment of diseases and increases the probability of cross-infection in public space. Therefore, this paper studies the public space of large-scale general hospitals from the perspective of way-finding,and strives to improve the hospital users’ way-finding and efficiency through the research of space. In this paper, from the perspective of the way-finding behavior of hospital users, the design of public space in large general hospitals is studied.Firstly,it introduces the basic theory of way-finding and spatial cognition, combines the five elements of Kevin Lynch’s urban space with the theory of hospital’s quasi-urbanization,and puts forward the feasibility of applying the theory of urban spatial image elements in hospital’s public space.Secondly, taking the large and medium-sized general hospitals in Beijing as the research object, this paper analyzed the problem of way-finding in the hospital users’ visits from three aspects:spatial organization mode, spatial image elements and auxiliary system. Then, according to the questionnaire survey of Beijing Tiantan Hospital,Tsinghua Changgeng Hospital,Beijing Chaoyang Hospital and three on-the-spot investigation and analysis of way-finding,through questionnaire survey, interview, path tracking method. This paper summarizes and analyses the relationship between the path characteristics, path description,way-finding thinking process, spatial organization mode and spatial image elements of the user’s way-finding method and simulation method,so as to obtain the design optimization strategy of the public space of the large general hospital for the convenience of the user’s way-finding.Based on the summary and analysis of the current situation, the optimization strategy of public space in large general hospitals from the perspective of way-finding is obtained, which is mainly divided into three aspects: the optimization strategy of spatial organization mode, the optimization strategy of spatial image elements and the optimization suggestion of auxiliary system. In short, this paper starts from the cognitive psychology of path-finding and spatial cognitive image, carries out design research from the perspective of space, and puts forward corresponding spatial optimization strategies. It is hoped that the research process and results of this paper will be of reference value to future research and practice. |
