Steel-concrete composite beam is an important transverse load-bearing component.The steel beam and concrete are combined by shear connectors.Therefore,it can make full use of the tensile capacity of steel and compressive capacity of concrete.Shear connector is the key component to ensure the composite effects of steel webs and concrete flanges in composite beams.Embedded connectors are widely used in corrugated steel composite box girder bridges.effects of steel webs and concrete flanges in composite beams.Embedded connectors are widely used in corrugated steel composite box girder bridges.However,the embedded connectors have no flange plate,making it difficult to pour concrete in construction.A new type of connector with flange is proposed and its shear resistance is studied by push-out test.Based on the Jialu River Bridge of the Airport to Xihua Expressway Phase II make a test of 13 embedded connector with flange plate,and the load-slip relation of the connector in each working stage is analyzed,and the influencing factors and failure phenomenon of the shear bearing capacity of the connector are studied.The results show that the failure modes of embedded connectors with flange plates can be divided into two categories: flange plate instability failure and concrete splitting failure.When the width ratio of steel flange plate is not satisfied,local buckling occurs in the flange plate which has large width to thickness ratio,and the test specimens is destroyed in advance,its shear capacity is close to that of embedded connectors.When the width ratio of steel flange plate satisfies certain conditions,the crack trend of concrete slab is almost the same as corrugated plate,and the crack shape of slab thickness is the connection of steel bar.The shear bearing capacity of the unstable test specimens of the flange plate is about 1.5 times the calculated value of the existing embedded connector bearing capacity theory,which shows that the flange plate obviously improves the shear capacities of the connector compared with the embedded connector.
