With the rapid development of China's economy and the continuous improvement of urbanization level,the establishment of urban agglomerations led by central cities has gradually become a national strategy to support and drive the further development of economy and urbanization.A number of world-class megacities(such as Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou)have gradually formed.But these megacities have also brought a series of metropolitan diseases.Traditionally,the urban traffic mode based on buses and cars has been unable to cope with the increasingly heavy traffic pressure and the tense relationship between people and land.Therefore,the urban rail transit system based on Metro has begun to develop rapidly,and the subsequent "metro public space" and the extended urban public space have a great impact on the traditional urban space.As one of the most frequently used public spaces in cities,metro public space has penetrated into all aspects of urban residents'lives and become the indispensable public places and the most dynamic urban space for urban residents.It not only meets the needs of metro users for convenient transportation,but also meets their increasing demand for retail,catering,culture,tourism,communication and so on.But on the one hand,due to insufficient estimation of the rapid development of metro in the past urban planning and insufficient research on the theory and method of metro public space planning and design,there is a problem of separation between metro and city in many fields such as function,space,transportation and so on.On the other hand,because urban planning management and metro construction belong to different departments in the past,it also leads to metro construction and other urban construction.Shanghai is the pioneer of modern cities in China.The speed and scale of the development of Shanghai Metro and the comprehensive development and construction of metro station public space are relatively high,so it has the significance of specimen research.On the one hand,this paper classifies the survey data and literature of a large number of different metro station public space of Shanghai line 1 and line 2 from three aspects of urban environment,station function and human behavior.On the other hand,this paper studies the metro station public space from the integration of urban function,urban space,urban transportation,urban culture and other aspects.At the same time,the elements of complex integration are divided into material and non-material aspects,and the symbiosis of urban system is taken as the theoretical guidance of integration.Based on the actual survey data and questionnaire survey data,the design principles and methods that are conducive to the integration of urban metro station public space are summarized.
