Research On The Design Of From Of Metro Station In Urban Public Space

The speedy urbanization brought fast development of metro construction in China. Metroeases the urban traffic pressure and saves the valuable construction sites. However, theaccelerating development of metro brings a series of problems to urban. How to integrate thenew metro station into urban public space system is a new challenging project.This paper takes urban public space as entry point and the form of metro station as theobject of study. The paper mainly analyzed the form design of metro station under thebackground of urban public space through the method of literature reading, case-analysis,survey and field investigations. And then puts forward that the form and interior space ofmetro station should integrate into city which breaks through the traditional single and closedstatus quo, and that to be better related and promoted with the surrounding public space. Basedon the above research, this paper puts forward some countermeasures combined with theanalysis of the investigation metro station on Nanjing Metro Line1and Line2.The paper falls into seven chapters with about74,087Chinese characters and119illustrations (103figures and16tables) and5appendixes.Chapter1: Introduction. The chapter mainly introduces the research origin, background,concept definition, research summary, research content and method, research framework of thestudy.Chapter2: The development and form evolution of urban metro station. This chapterdescribes the form evolution process of metro station at home and abroad from the historicalperspective. Its artistry, publicity, association with urban public space of metro stationare discussed which provides supports for the following discussion,Chapter3: The display form of urban metro station. This chapter introduces the formconstruction of metro station, and puts forward the new changes of metro station in the effectof urban public space, and to be the points raised by the stage after the next thesis.Chapter4: The form study of metro station in urban public space. This chapter putsforward that metro station should have locality, and discusses the link between urban publicspace and metro station from the horizontal and vertical.Chapter5: The related case studies of metro station at home and abroad. This chaptermainly analyses and shows typical examples at home and abroad respectively from fouraspects of historical cultural environment, modern and tradition, city complex and architecturecompetition through the method case-analysis and induction analysis, then summarizes thesuccessful experience. Chapter6: Comment on the form of metro station in Nanjing urban public space. Basedon the above research, this chapter mainly analyses six typical examples of Nanjing MetroLine1and Line2in detail, respectively through the different aspects of business circle,historical cultural environment, traffic transfer system, scenic spots. And then puts forwardsome correlative suggestions.Chapter7: Conclusion. This chapter concludes the whole paper, and presents severalinnovations and finally the further study is prospected.
