A major goal of the thesis is to explore new design methods of the environmental test chamber for architectural space,at the knowledge of the fact that the space energy efficiency design plays an significant role in the research of building energy conservation.The Environmental Test Chamber for Architectural Space of Tianjin University comes out not only for the study on the relation among the thermal comfort,the energy consumption and the building space design,but also the effort of building energy conservation.The first chapter of the thesis starts with the study on the existing practice of environmental test chamber and the existing research of thermal comfort.The summarization of motivation and classification of the existing practice provide the study with experiences and lessons.The second chapter is mainly focused on the design of experiment.There is a definite recognition that several goals of the experiment should be realized by the design of the environmental test chamber.The third chapter serves as the major part of the thesis,trying to offer very specific and targeted design of The Environmental Test Chamber for Architectural Space of Tianjin University which includes environmental control,the flexibility of space and the large-scale chamber.The fourth chapter records the process of the construction of The Environmental Test Chamber for Architectural Space of Tianjin University.At last,not only some limits in the practice but also more fresh ideas come out from the reflection and summary of the practice,which Serves as both the practical and theoretical bases for the relevant practical work around the corner.
