The tubular wharf structure supported by piles is a new type of wharf structure,which consists of large cylinder,pipe pile foundations,jet grouting piles and the upper wharf structures.Compared with the traditional gravity type caisson structure and high-piled wharf structure,it has many advantages.It has good overall stability,can make full use of the deep bearing layer and has a strong adaptability to the soft soil foundation.In this paper,the failure mode and internal force of the new structure are studied by combining the finite element method and the related design specification.Firstly,using the ABAQUS to establish a finite element model.The stability of the structure is analyzed by using the strength reduction method.The internal forces of different parts of the structure are analyzed and compared with the design values of the load-carrying capacity.The deformation of the structure and soil is analyzed and the failure mode of the structure is analyzed.Secondly,according to the finite element analysis results of the structure and the soil,the assumed failure modes of the new structure are presented and according to the assumed failure modes,a set of simplified algorithms for checking various stabilities are proposed.Finally,using the control variable method to study the influence of different factors on the stability of the new structure,including cylinder size and soil parameters.Exploring the applicability of the new structure in practical engineering under different conditions.Based on the engineering named 24# berth project of HaiCang port,the stability of the tubular wharf structure supported by piles is studied.This paper gives a simplified algorithm and preliminary modeling method of the novel structure,build the foundations for further research.
