The utilization of new energy has become an important technical method to solve the problem of the energy crisis.Compared with solar energy and wind energy,wave energy has bigger flow density and stronger renewable ability.The development and utilization of wave energy will promote a profound change of the energy industry as well as the rapid development of coastal economy.The float of existing wave energy converter is always single.The overall structure is complex with low conversion efficiency.In view of these,a new array type of duck wave energy collector is proposed in this paper.The device features are as follows: energy conversion system and energy transfer system are constitute of mechanical components,the double ratchet-pawls are designed in the float.The limiter is used to limit the movement in the pitching direction of the V-shaped drive shaft housing.The gears are arranged symmetrically in the gear box.With the above arrangement,the generator will always be driven by the same direction of torque to ensure that the device can reliably and efficiently utilize the waves to generate electricity throughout the cycle.According to the Salter Duck modify model,the design method of structural parameters is put forward,which considering the influence of hydrodynamic disturbance of multi-floating motion.It describes how to design the structural parameters such as the width of the floating body,the floating body arc,the large arc radius of the floating body,the small arc radius of the floating body,the angle of the transmission shaft,the distance of the bucket,the number of the float,the number of the ratchet teeth,the height and the quality of the underwater.The design method provides the basis for the design and development of the initial stage of the multi-body device.According to the linear potential theory,the wave motion in the three-dimensional flow field is defined.The hydrodynamic parameters such as the additional damping and the additional mass are obtained by solving the wave velocity potential by the liquid spin condition,the Laplace equation and the boundary conditions.Based on the coordinate transformation method,the dynamic response equation of the input shaft and the total energy conversion efficiency equation are established in the whole coordinate system.The equation reflects the relationship between the parameters such as the transmission angle,the rotational speed of the generator shaft,the number of the float,projection length of the floating body,the width of floating body,the wave height and the total energy conversion efficiency.Through the simulation of AQWA and MATLAB,it can be seen that the interaction between the floating bodies,the increase of the wave period and the decrease of the wave height will lead to the fluctuation of the pitch force and the input power.When the wave angle is 0 degree,90 degree and 179 degree,the pitch wave excitation force of the float,the pitching speed,the input power is small.Compared with the wave cycle and the wave angle,wave height will produce greater impact on power generation performance.Based on the relationship between power generation efficiency and structural parameters,the sensitive structural parameters of the power generation efficiency are determined.Then the pitching parameters of the floats are analyzed.It is found that the stability of the device increases slightly when the distance between the float and the transmission shaft increases.Though float spacing and transmission shaft angle are changed,the corresponding generation power gap is small.It indicates that the proposed structural design method can effectively weaken the hydrodynamic interference caused by the interaction of multiple floating bodies.The two parameters with large influence on the input power are optimized at the same time,and the total power generation efficiency of the optimization model is solved.The result shows that the array type of duck wave energy collector has high energy conversion efficiency.
