Travelers’ route choice problem has been a hot research field of traffic.However,the traffic characteristics of the system itself causes the higher outdoor experiments costly and not easy to operate,resulting in traveler’s route choice experiments is not easy to operate.The existing traffic simulation software without considering the interaction between people,cannot be directly used in the study of individual route choice behavior,also cannot be used to study the interaction between people choice behavior.In order to reduce the traveler route choice behavior experiment research costs,to facilitate experiment operation,this article adopts the method of virtual experiment using the Unity3 D game engine as well as the Visual Studio programming software,has developed a simulation system of route choice behavior to research,for the route choice behavior research provides a new research method.In this paper,first of all,the main factors of affecting People’s Daily route choice behavior are analyzed,and identified the four influencing factors.Based on the research status of four kinds of influence factors,design the travel route choice experiment research experience,path length of traveler route choice.According to the design of experiment,experiment method is a distributed virtual experiment,it need to develop client and server.Simulation system of the client has chosen the Unity3 D as a development tool,this paper briefly introduces the Unity3 D powerful function,at the same time,analyzes the feasibility of using Unity3 D.Secondly,the paper on the basis of the experimental requirements,design the underlying architecture of simulation system,and realizes a virtual reality and simulation system is the key technology such as network communications and data persistence.Based on underlying architecture design and key technology,completed the client code of path choice behavior simulation system,and realize the server side and client interactions,mainly studies the travel time and travel benefits in server-side computing.Finally,26 subjects are recruited to a repeated path selection experiment of different purposes,including testing experiment,the experiments of the travel experience and the influence of path length of network path decision.Analysis of experimental results show that in daily life,when people face route choice,if there is one path of travel experience,take "win-stay lose-shift" strategy will have more chance to get a better travel experience.When the traveler choice paths of different lengths,if the network is estimated travel time of each path,even if the short path traffic congestion,people are more inclined to choose "short path",and choose "short path" probability increases with the increase of path length difference.on the other hand,experimental results confirm the using simulation system study of route choice behavior is reasonable and effective,also shows that it can change the experimental steps,modifying methods of simulation system parameters,for other influence factors of the route choice behavior research.
