Synchronous reluctance motors(SynRM)is one of the oldest motor types.Its special rotor structure has many advantages,such as low manufacturing cost,high temperature resistance,low loss,easy expansion,small torque ripple,and so on.But the early SynRM is not widely used in industrial application because of difficult starting.With the development of power electronics technology,more and more scholars begin to study the SynRM again.However,SynRM is affected by the main magnetic circuit saturation and cross saturation in actual operation.The direct axis inductance Ld and the cross-axis inductance Lq are not constant and seriously affect the SynRM transient response and high performance.In order to solve the influence of magnetic saturation on the vector control of SynRM,the basic work principle of the motor,the establishment of the magnetic saturation model,maximum torque per ampere control,and the hardware experimental platform are studied in the paper.The details are as follows:Firstly,the basic structure and working principle of SynRM are analyzed.The general expression of reluctance torque is deduced,the electromagnetic relation is analyzed,and the ideal mathematical model is written.The principle of vector control and several traditional control strategies of SynRM are introduced in detail,and the advantages and disadvantages are analyzed and compared.Secondly,the influence of magnetic saturation on the parameters is analyzed.A method of building magnetic saturation model based on equivalent excitation current is proposed.The optimal torque angle under magnetic saturation is deduced.The vector control system of SynRM model and magnetic saturation model is set up in Matlab / Simulink environment,and the maximum torque per ampere control is simulated.In order to verify the theoretical analysis,a hardware control system experiment platform is set up,The results show that the magnetic saturation model can truly reflect the operation of the motor,and the proposed maximum torque current ratio control method can achieve the maximum output power per unit current.
