In this article,a new type of overrunning clutch was presented,the clutch which can be used between the driving mechanism and the driven mechanism.This clutch can change combine state according to the input speed.In practice,when the input speed is higher than the maximum threshold speed,the power of the driven mechanism can be reversely input to the active mechanism for energy storage.And when the input speed is lower than the minimum threshold speed,the active mechanism can transmit power to drive the driven mechanism to rotate.If this kind of overrunning clutch can be designed and developed,which could help to improve the economy of automotive mechanical transmission system.In this paper,based on the traditional ball clutch,and with the help of the function of centrifugal force and spring elasticity.And also from use the clever ideas,a combination of high-speed clutch principle design was achieved.Also by combining with the traditional overrunning clutch in parallel,this new clutch was real developed.And on the basis of the principle design,the structural modeling and the calculation and checking of the main parameters are carried out.Then the force analysis of the combination and disengagement process of the traditional roller overrunning clutch was used to analyze the force process of the new overrunning clutch in high speed combining and disengaging.The relationship between spring stiffness and speed was also analyzed.Completed the calculation and analysis of the main parameters and improve,check analysis and performance analysis.Finally,from the view of practicability and reliability,the principle of the clutch is improved and the simulation analysis based on MATLAB/Simulink is discussed.The relationship between the spring rate and the maximum threshold speed is discussed.The relationship between the spring deformation and speed is analyzed.Guide rod force and speed curve.These results are in line with the design concept,demonstrating the rationality of the new clutch.
