In the intense global market competition,product innovation is considered as the driving force for enterprise development,as well as one of the main economic growth modes for enterprises.The capability to achieve continuous,rapid innovation and develop products meeting market demands has become the key factor for enterprises to achieve sustainable success.Domestic enterprises have started paying more and more attention to product innovation during their R&D process,and using differentiated designs to increase added values and profit margin to products.As a customer-oriented,fast and effective comprehensive innovation tool,QFD has been widely applied in various fields.Based on G Company's industrial robot controller development,this paper took QFD as the main innovative tool,combined with various of analyzing tools including KJ method,KANO model,TRIZ theory,AHP method,software yaahp,initiated the research on the product concept designing process of G Company's robot controllerFirst of all,it briefly reviewed and analyzed the theoretical research and application status of QFD technology and its related tools in domestic and international product innovation,and summarized the application methods and characteristics of QFD and its related tools.It also made a brief introduction about G Company,its industrial robot controller products and research and development status.Through introducing the current development and innovation statues of G Company,it indicated the problems and main influencing factors during the product innovation process.Secondly,according to the technical methods and implementation steps of QFD,it applied KJ method and KANO model to analyze customer demands,classified and confirmed the importance degrees of customer demands.Based on the importance degrees of customer demands to establish the house of quality,it expanded and converted customer demands into product function characteristics,classified and confirmed the importance degree,analyzed the product competitiveness of robot controller,and determined the improvement direction of the product function characteristics.With analyzing the technical conflicts of product functional characteristics,it applied TRIZ theory to solve the technical contradictions and to carry out the innovative conceptual design of robot controller products;discovered the current technology bottlenecks of the company,and provided direction guide for the future product development of robot controllerAt last,it applied KJ method,AHP method and software yaahp to analyze customer demands.Based on establishing evaluation indicators of two levels and 19 dimensions,it evaluated the product model designed according to the concept scheme,and figured out the optimal solution for product model.This paper summarized the conceptual design experience with applying QFD tools in the robot controller development of G Company,and also set a demonstration for the R&D of other products.It did not only explore a series of product development processes and methods customized to G company,but also effectively saved time for product innovation,improved product innovation efficiency and quality,and also presented the route for the company's technological development,as well as strengthened the market competitiveness of the company.
