The country’s investment in the transportation sector and its policy guidance have been continuously deepened.The total distance of our country’s highway has been staggering.The environment of the highway tunnel is closed and the existence of the tunnel can make the highway’s line shape straight,and shorten the length of the line,reducing the mileage.The highway mileage is increasing,the number of tunnels is also increasing.However,the bad flat and vertical line shapes,coupled with the limited space of the road tunnel and the dim surroundings,are more likely to induce the driver’s curve illusion and ramp illusion and cause traffic accidents.This paper analyzes the accident characteristics of the long highway tunnel and the visual characteristics of the driver,and introduces the illusion of the curve and the illusion of the slope.Citing the concept of a visual reference system,using marginal rate theory and retroreflective materials,researches are made on the improvement the illusion of bend and the illusion of the slope.Through experimental analysis,the improvement methods were compared and selected.Finally,the effectiveness of the improved method on simple curved and sloped sections is analyzed.The experiment is based on the video simulation model produced by 3ds Max and the E-prime 2.0 psychophysics software and the driving simulation platform are used to compare and test the improvement before and after the improvement of the tunnel.The effect of the improved method was analyzed and compared with the selected parameters: correctness of curvature perception,correct perception rate of ramp,and reaction time.The research shows that: 1)The 3ds Max simulation experiment can simulate the visual environment of long and large highway tunnels to simulate the driver’s curvature perception ability and slope judgment ability.2)Obtain the driver’s visual memory through subjective evaluation methods.In the three reflective ring,the linear awareness of the road is better.3)Setting the reflective ring can enhance the driver’s perception of curvature,and the reasonable combination of reflective rings and reflective strips can further improve the correct rate of curvature perception.The accuracy of curvature perception is positively correlated with the number of reflective rings(1~ 5).When the number of reflective rings is 3,the accuracy of curvature perception is significantly improved.However,the number of reflective rings continues to increase,and the accuracy of curve determination is not significantly improved.When the number of reflective strips and reflective rings is 3:1 and 4:1,the correct rate of perceived curvature is higher.4)The inclination of the reflective strip and the driving direction will affect the perception of the driver’s ramp.On the uphill section,the angle between the reflective strip and the driving direction of 105 °(obtuse angle)can improve the driver’s ability to judge the uphill section;Reflective strips travel in an angle of 75°(acute angle)to improve the driver’s ability to judge on downhill sections.
