The method of rotating construction brodens the geographical field of bridge construction,this method can be classfied into three categories by the rotating direction,which are parallel swivel construction method,vertical swivel construction method and the two together.Swivel construction rises in mountainous and inconvenient transportation areas,owing to its little impact on existing lines in transportation,thus creating this method obtains certain applications with a relatively considerable development prospect in cities and plain areas.As for the key bearing position in vertical swivel arch bridge construction,the relevant standard provisions of vertical swivel hinge design hasn't been drawn up.The design and construction of vertical swivel hinge is normally based on similar projects,but there is less theoretical research and engineering example analysis about vertical swivel hinge in vertical swivel construction,which is detrimental to the further extention of the vertical swivel construction method.In order to explore the stress state of rotating hinge in the construction of steel box handle-basket tied arch bridge by vertical swivel method,this paper is based on Guangxi dato gorge bridge,making fine analysis of the rotating hinge to get force state and stress distribution of the vertical swivel hinge.This paper will describe the stress condition of vertical swivel hinge from two parts,which are theoretical analysis and numerical simulation.About the theoretical analysis,Hertz theory is used to analysize the contact stress of vertical swivel hinge and,then the theoretical contact stress distribution of vertical swivel hinge is got and the stress distribution is the same as we think,finally,the mechanism of lubrication to reduce friction stress is described.About the numerical simulation,this paper also describes it from two parts,one is to analysize the whole vertical swivel system,the other is to make local analysis of vertical swivel hinge based on the analysis of the whole vertical swivel system.The detailed analysis process is as following,the Midas is used to establish the whole vertical swivel systems every two angles,then the stress condition of four external steel tube concrete is got,and three most unfavorable conditions of vertical swivel hinge are selected from those.Then the model of vertical swivel hinge is established by Abaqus and corresponding load is applied to the hinge.At first,the whole stress condition of vertical swivel hinge is assessed,later,the stress condition of vertical swivel hinge is been finely analysied.At last,this paper makes parameter optimization of vertical swivel hinge based on the stress condition to achieve economic indicator when meeting the construction requirements.The research founds that stress condition of vertical swivel hinge got by numerical simulation keeps the same as the result got by theoretical analysis.The result got by numerical simulation indicates the stress condition of vertical swivel hinge during construction is on the rise but below strength design value and the stability of vertical swivel system also meets the requirements.The research indicates that the study object meets the construction requirements and provides certain guidance to similar projects,but for vertical swivel structure with special requirements,corresponding thematic study is still needed.At the same time,the specifications and standards on vertical swivel hinge design should be gradually perfected.
