In recent years,the structural control field has been developed rapidly in various countries,the theory of structural control has been popularized in various types of structures,but research on the steel structure chemical plant as the representative of the high-rise plant is insufficient.The vibration problem of steel structure chemical plant is different from the general structure,it has the unique characteristics of its own,steel structure chemical plant is relatively light,the form of chemical plant equipment is more complex,and there exists complicated chemical reaction in the process of chemical production,which leads to the vibration problem of complex chemical plant.These problems will have a lot of adverse effects on the use of chemical plant.On one hand,this will threaten the safety of the structure,making the instrument and equipment can not be used properly.On the other hand,it is likely to cause property damage,casualties,become a major hazard caused by disasters.In order to solve a series of vibration problems in the steel structure chemical plant,the general measures are to add the control device to the site where the reaction of the steel structure is relatively large.In this paper,based on the scale model of a steel structure chemical plant,the elastic-plastic time history analysis of the model structure under the rare earthquake is carried out.The passive vibration control method based on the viscous damper is used to control the vibration response of the structure,and the validity of the passive control theory and the effectiveness of the viscous damper are verified by shaking table model test.This paper has certain reference value for the design of high-rise industrial building of this kind.The following work has been done in this paper:(1)Analysis and calculate the translational and torsional seismic response of steel frame structures under the rare earthquake;(2)Based on the study of viscous dampers to enrich the basic theory of passive control;(3)The Ansys finite element model is established for the steel structure high-rise industrial building,and the displacement response and torsion effect of the eccentric structure under the action of strong earthquake are studied by dynamic time-history analysis;(4)The model shaking table test is carried out,and the results of the shaking table test and the calculation results are compared.The feasibility and effectiveness of viscous dampers in the vibration reduction of steel structures is verified.
