With the rapid development of China's economy in recent years,the number of road mileage is increasing rapidly.Meanwhile,china has became the world's first automobile production and consumption power.It requires that the undertaking of road maintenance will be particularly important,because this is an important issue related to people's livelihood.Designing and manufacturing an asphalt pavement maintenance vehicle that is an part of asphalt pavement maintenance machinery is extremely important.When working with a specialized automobile factory in Hebei province to design and manufacture an asphalt pavement maintenance vehicle,the affair that the weight of mixing bin is too big and the efficiency of heating is too low is found.It is necessary to use advanced design technology to Optimize the mixing bin for structural design and to research the process of mixing pot's mixing and heating,if Complete these tasks,it will not only reduce the production cost but also improve its working performance and enhance its market competitiveness.In this paper,as the mainly researching object,the mix bin of the asphalt pavement maintenance vehicle is defined.First of all,the three dimensional model and finite element model are created respectively,by using the UG and HyperWorks.Then,the mix bin is analyzed on the strength,stiffness and modal analysis in the three traditional working conditions.Further more,the mix bin is optimized under the size projects by using the structure size optimization design method.The new structure of the optimal design is verified.The results show that the new mix bin is not only satisfying the requirements of strength and stiffness but also has the reasonable vibration characteristic.The mix bin 's Weight is reduced by 25.7% as well as the research meets the need of the design.According to the simulation of the asphalt mixture 's process of heating and mixing is completed by the software FLUENT,the structure of characteristics mixing pick and the heating efficiency of the stirred tank are improved.
