Railroad diseases have become serious due to the increase in train speed and railway traffic.These diseases shorten the service life of the rail,increase operating costs,and affect the train safety.Therefore,it is extremely important to remove these diseases.Rail grinding is an important way to achieve this goal.However,at present,there are insufficient studies on rail grinding technology in China.Specific performance in the rail grinding site,technicians rely on experience to select the grinding mode from the inherent grinding mode provided by the foreign or manually set grinding mode to perform the grinding operation.This grinding method is inefficient and can easily cause grinding too much or less.Therefore,study and improve the rail grinding method to achieve a more effective and more accurate grinding process is of great significance.Taking the GMC-96 x rail grinding vehicle as the research object,propose a rail grinding method based on the grinding area information between the measured profile and the target profile,and implement the rail grinding system software.Although the rail grinding method is analyzed with the standard 60 kg/m rail profile,it can be applied to the grinding operations of 60 kg/m,75 kg/m and 50 kg/m rails as long as the correct target profile is selected.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Study the alignment method of target profile and measured profile.Propose applying the area information of the side and top of the measured profile and target profile to realize precise alignment and the method to evaluate the alignment result.(2)Study the method to extract and calculate grinding area information.Calculate the grinding area error separately when the distance between adjacent points of the measured profile is different.Propose using the cubic spline interpolation method to reduce the distance between adjacent points of the measured profile and then calculate the grinding area which improves the accuracy of calculating grinding area information.(3)Analyze the factors affecting the quality of rail grinding and study the relationship between grinding area information and the grinding parameters information.Divide the grinding area as the grindstones with different deflection angles have different grinding areas at the same power and the speed of the grinding vehicle.Propose the method to calculate reference grinding mode.Calculate the reference grinding area information of a single grindstone in different areas by comparing the profile of the rail at the same point before and after the operation in the reference operation mode.Compare and analyze the planned grinding area and the reference grinding area,and calculate the number of grinding passes,the speed of the grinding vehicle,the number of grindstones,the deflection angle of the grindstone and the grinding power of the grindstone based on the relationship between the grinding area information and the grinding parameters information.(4)The roughness and the width of the grinding surface may be unacceptable after grinding because the rail grinding mode calculation does not take the roughness and the width of the grinding surface into account.Propose using polishing mode to improve the roughness and the width of the grinding surface after grinding and propose a method to formulate the polishing mode.Propose a method to evaluate the consistency between the grinded profile and the target profile.Analyze and formulate the rail grinding process.(5)Implement the rail grinding system software based on the grinding area information and verify the main functions of each module of the system.Analyze the quality of grinding of upward railway at the k1090+580 on the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed line from the aspect of appearance and measured profile data of the rails,and analysis the results of trials of grinding system software at the first Line Grinding Team of maintenance section for large maintenance machinery in Wuhan during the past two years,which shows that the proposed rail grinding method based on the grinding area information realizes accurate grinding,the quality of the grinding meets the acceptance criteria and meets the application requirements,the proposed area-based rail grinding method is practical and feasible in actual rail grinding operations,and the qualified rate of grinding quality is above 95%.The innovations are as follows:(1)Propose applying the area information of the side and top of the measured profile and target profile to realize alignment,which improves alignment accuracy.Propose a method to evaluate the alignment result,which can be used to determine whether the aligned profile can be used to guide rail grinding operations.(2)Propose using cubic spline interpolation to reduce the distance between adjacent points of the measured rail profile and then calculate the grinding area because the error of calculated grinding area is large when the distance between adjacent points is large,which improves the calculation accuracy of the grinding area information.(3)Propose a method based on the grinding area information between the measured profile and the target profile to calculate the number of grinding passes,the speed of the grinding vehicle,the number of grindstones,the deflection angle of the grindstone and the grinding power of the grindstone.The method improves grinding accuracy and efficiency of formulating grinding mode,and realizes the localization and autonomy of the grinding mode calculation.
