| Accelerated urbanization and unsustainable development and construction have destroyed the original natural hydrological circulation process or hydrological cycle,significantly decreasing cities’resilience to rain flooding,leading to frequent urban inundation.Apart from this,cities also face pollution and contamination of water bodies brought about by development,shortage of water resources,and related urban water problems.Construction of Sponge City communities provides an impetus to the step of Sponge City construction,beginning from a localized level the relief from urban inland inundation problems,and these communities play a leading role in construction of Sponge Cities.This paper explores the development status of urban rainwater systems in China and abroad,provides in-depth analysis of theories relevant to Sponge Cities:classic case of Tianjin University Beiyang Yuan Campus,Kemerlife XXI residential area design,JOY GARDEN rooftop experimental garden,Pennsylvania Avenue,comparative study with Yuelai Metro Jiayue Jiang courtyard,sum up the approach to Sponge community planning and design and clarify the direction of the paper.With the Bolong Xinyuan community in the Binhai New District in Tianjin City as object of research study,gathering data on the community’s current construction situation,precipitation data,it’s coverage area already known to be 1.27×10~5 square metres,randomly strewn across high-rise residential buildings and a small number of multi-storey public buildings.This place has drought in spring and flooding in autumn,average annual precipitation is 566.0 mm,biennial return of 93.2 mm in a 24-hour period.With the community construction design as basis,ecological community design of Bolong Xinyuan community is carried out.The comminuty has simple-type green roofs which receive daily rainfull of 1417.15 m~3,4.68×10~4 m~2 permeable pavement,10 underground carpark reservoirs which are 960 m~3,3 rain gardens which are 4856 m~2,improvement of saline land and water-saving measures.Because of the design,the community can save 5.5×10~4 yuan of water fee and 5.0×10~3 yuan of maintain fee. |
