With the rapid development of construction machinery industry,after-sales service is becoming more and more important in improving customer loyalty,gaining competitive advantages and increasing profits.The accurate service part demand forecasting is the foundation for enterprises to win.It directly determines the inventory level and customer satisfaction and affects the brand effect and the market share.Company A is a top manufacturer of construction machinery products.As the company has more and more models to sell,the demand for service part is growing.Meanwhile,there are some inventory problems of company A service parts such as low customer order fill rate,low inventory turnover rate,etc.This thesis takes the company A as the research background.It first reviews the relevant theoretical basis of inventory classification,demand forecasting and inventory management.Then the problems in company A’s service parts inventory management are analyzed,such as service classification management problem,and lack of service parts demand forecast and analysis.This dissertation uses the ABC classification based on Analytic Hierarchy Process to strengthen the classified management of service parts from the actual inventory data.The inventory management strategy of common service parts and new service parts are provided.At the same time,for abnormal batch of demand of service parts,the service parts inventory management strategy of new project implementation and new dealers are also studied.Moreover,the inventory turnover rate of service parts and the effectiveness of inventory management optimization are shown.Finally,the safeguards are designed by cultivating employees’ awareness and improving company inventory management capacity to ensure the implementation of inventory optimization strategy.The optimized inventory management strategy of service parts in company A can meet customer needs,reduce inventory level and improve the efficiency.It has a certain reference for the service part management of the related types of enterprises.
