Research On Strategies Of Electrical Spare Parts Management Based On Maintenance Modes

After reforming of the power enterprises, power plants take over their ownprofits and losses. Since then, they have been bearing great pressure. On the one hand,the price of coal continued to rise. On the other hand, the price of electricity has notrisen for a long time. The cost of spare parts occupies a very high proportion in thepower plant. So, reducing the stock of spare parts by the using of inventory controlpolicy is an important task to power plants.This article analyzed the maintenance modes of electrical equipment and themanagement characteristic of electrical spare parts. And, study on managementstrategy of electrical spare parts from the methods of spare parts classification,inventory modes and inventory control strategy. First, the multi-factor and multi-stageelectrical spare parts classification method based on ABC and3A is established. Themethod considered three factors which include the import of spare parts, the time ofdemand decision, the annual consumption of funds. Electrical spare parts areclassified to five grades by the method. Second, after analysis of existing inventorymodel, a joint inventory model led by the maintenance company is established. Andthe article describes how to use the joint inventory model. Finally, the concept ofinventory control strategy is defined. This article discusses the inventory controlstrategy suitable for the five levels of spare parts.There are many advantages by using these inventory control strategy. Forexample, to meet demand of spare parts, reduce spare parts reserves and increaseprofits. These advantages have been proven in the application of inventory controlstrategy in Ningxia ND power plant.
