Urban transportation network design plays a very important part in our country's development.As Economic developing,the problems in transportation are getting worse and worse.The most important and urgent thing that the authorities should do is how to solve these problem.That is what the transportation network design researches.As a matter of fact,studies on urban transportation network design not only provide an important scientific value,but also benefits transportation practice.Firstly,we summarized the existing problems of urban transportation and the status of traffic assignment problem.And then we review models and algorithms of urban transportation network design.Secondly,the formulations of the deterministic user equilibrium and system optimum were given,and stochastic user equilibrium traffic assignment problem was introduced in detail.Then verified the equivalent mathematics assignment model of stochastic user equilibrium traffic model and its convexity and the uniqueness of solution.The MSA algorithm for this model has been presented.Finally,a Bilevel programming model is given to describe continuous urban transportation network design problem.And then the sensitivity analysis for the stochastic user equilibrium traffic assignment model has been made.At last,heurisitic algorithm is come up with to solve this Bilevel mathematical programming model which is established for continuous urban transportation network design problem.
