Study On The Protection And Reuse Design Of Traditional Dwellings In Southern Anhui

In the protection and reconstruction of traditional residential buildings,the method of converting the dwellings into exhibition space has gradually revealed its drawbacks as the growth of the people’s material and mental needs.Compared with the developed countries in the west,the development of traditional architecture in China started rather late but was abundant in resources.It is a future trend of reconstructing the buildings and one of the urgent tasks to develop the traditional residential if we want to help these people to walk on a sustainable development path.Analyzing from the indoor study perspective,this paper limits its scope of investigation to the houses of the southern province,China.It aims at providing a proper strategy after a detailed study of its current situation.This paper will argue for a conception of adapting the harmonious development of human and architecture and some design principles,strategies as well as suggestions for the reconstruction plan from the sustainable perspective of transformation in the next move.To offer an example,the local-style dwelling houses of Hui Culture,which makes controlling the indoor environment,improving all aspects of comfort and satisfaction as the goal,is near to the ideal model promoted by this paper.It offers some references for future residential renovation as well.
