The China Automotive Engineering Research Institute released the “China Insurance Automotive Safety Index”(“C-IASI”)in 2016,and its in-vehicle occupant insurance safety index includes a positive 25% offset collision test.From the research conducted in 2016 to the first critical test results released in 2018,only a small number of tested models were able to obtain a “G Excellent” rating in the positive 25% offset crash test,which is quite demanding.The miniature van has a short front end buffer area and lacks passive safety protection.The minivan driver is vulnerable to injury in a small offset collision mode.Therefore,it is of great research value and significance to carry out the research on the driver injury of minivans with small offset accidents around the China Auto Insurance Safety Index,to propose safety suggestions for driver injury,and to reduce the casualties of minivan driver.This paper starts with the accident investigation and obtains the law and characteristics of the small offset accident of the minivan through the statistical analysis of the small offset accident of the minivan.Based on the THUMS human body model,the small offset collision simulation model of the minivan is built,and the human body model is analyzed.Under the condition of injury,the situation of driver's head injury under several typical frontal collision conditions is analyzed.The head injury threshold of human body model under different vehicle speeds is analyzed,and the driver safety is put forward.The specific methods and results are as follows:(1)Investigation of small offset accidents of minivans: Through the investigation and analysis of 419 cases involving minivan accidents in southwestern regions,the characteristics and laws of small offset accidents of minivans were clarified.The survey results show that in the frontal collision accident of minivans,the proportion of 25% of small offset collision accidents accounted for 21.4% of the total number of frontal collisions,a total of 36 cases;the speed of mini-package small offset collision accidents was mostly distributed in 30~50km/ h,the proportion of the driver's injury site in the small offset collision accident of the miniature charter is the head and the chest;(2)To build a mini-bias collision platform based on THUMS mannequin: Firstly,establish a miniature van model,and verify the micro-van model by simulation calculation results and experimental data benchmarking;then introduce and verify the THUMS mannequin;The THUMS mannequin's miniature van small offset collision platform.(3)Simulation analysis of small offset collision of minivan and analysis of injury of driver mannequin: The small offset platform of minivan was established and verified by mass increase and energy change.Analysis of deformation modes of minivans and injury analysis of driver mannequins.According to the test specifications provided by C-IASI,the minivan can only get a POOR rating.According to the human head and chest injury evaluation method,it can be determined that the driver will have a large chance of serious injury or even death under this working condition;(4)According to the C-IASI standard,the minivan is under the impact of 64km/h,and the driver's human body model is seriously injured and the car body collapses and deforms seriously.Based on the results of this study,the injury of the driver's mannequin is studied by reducing the collision speed.Combined with the distribution characteristics of the minibias collision accident,the vehicle body mannequin injury in the range of 30km/h~45km/h is analyzed.The driver's mannequin injury speed threshold.The results show that among the three different frontal collisions,the most serious deformation of the car's cab is the 25% small offset frontal collision type;the higher the collision speed,the greater the risk of the driver's mannequin head injury,when the vehicle speed is less than 35 km At /h,the risk of injury to the driver's head is small under the small offset condition of the minivan;when the vehicle speed is less than 40km/h and less than 45km/h,the driver's head skull fracture under the small offset condition of the minivan The risk is high,but the risk of injury to intracranial brain tissue is small.When the vehicle speed is greater than 45km/h,the risk of driver's skull fracture and the risk of intracranial brain tissue injury are large under the small offset condition of minivan.By comparing the injury of the driver's mannequin under different speeds and comparing the protection effect of ordinary seat belt and force-limiting safety,and putting forward safety suggestions for the human body model injury of minivan,the results show that the pre-tightening force belt protection the effect is better than ordinary seat belts.
