Inverter arc welding power supply has many advantages such as energy saving,high efficiency,light weight and high power factor.It is a kind of arc welding power supply with broad development prospects.For the control method of the inverter arc welding power supply,it has undergone a transition from analog circuit control to digital control.Since the digital arc welding power supply is more competitive in the market,the development of a fully digital are welding power supply has great social and economic value.This study uses the American Xilinx company's Artix-7 series FPGA as the control core for the inverter arc welding power supply,and designs a fully digital and highly integrated inverter arc welding power supply.Through the literature review,the development status of digital inverter arc welding power supply is fully understood,and the development of soft-switching inverter technology and the application of field programmable gate array are mainly studied.By studying the soft-switching inverter technology of two different full-bridge converters,the limited bipolar control method is selected to realize the soft switching operation on the inverter switching devices and the pulse width modulation control method based on FPGA.The characteristics of fixed-point decimal and floating-point decimal are analyzed,and the calculation of decimal in FPGA is realized.By studying the dual closed-loop PID control principle,the constant voltage external characteristic of the inverter arc welding power supply is realized.The hardware and soft:ware design of the control system is carried out,such as power module,analog-to-digital conversion module,and inverter driver module.Finally,the inverter arc welding power system is tested and analyzed.The test results show that the modules of the control system work normally,and the external characteristic of the inverter arc welding power supply is good.This study can lay the foundation for the development of the next generation fully digital and high-end inverter welders,and creates more economic and social value.
