ITER is called an "artificial sun" thermonuclear test device.It is the first experimental device for human being to achieve controlled thermonuclear fusion on the earth which has integrated the major scientific and technological achievements of the international research on controlled magnetic confinement nuclear fusion.The Glow Discharge Conditioning(GDC)is one of the most important for the forging and smelting of ITER device wall.It decomposes the impurities and fuel particles with lower binding energy which is adsorbed on the device surface by using the glow discharge effect of 7 GDC electrodes.If so,impurities and fuel particles on the device surface will be decomposed into gas particles and the device surface will be cleaned.In this paper,one of the GDC electrode is selected as the research object.Firstly,the existing design models were carefully evaluated and the 3D modeling software Space Claim was used to simplify the model.The structural features such as chamfering,fillet which has little influence on mechanical characteristics were ignored.According to the actual operation characteristics of GDC electrode,the finite element analysis software Ansys Workbench is used to do static analysis of GDC electrode under normal working conditions,and the displacement and stress distribution nephogram of GDC electrode structure is obtained.Modal analysis of the whole structure of GDC electrode is carried out from dynamics.The natural frequencies of the GDC electrode structure and the structural vibration mode of the corresponding frequencies are obtained.Based on this,the response spectrum analysis is carried out and the overall structural response of GDC electrode is obtained.Then the equivalent static analysis corresponding to response spectrum analysis of the GDC electrode structure is carried out.The overall structural response of GDC electrode in this situation is obtained and compared with the results obtained by the response spectrum analysis.Finally,the Standardization analysis of the results is carried out to ensure the integrity of the electrode structure.The significance of this project lies in the design and research of GDC electrodes,taking the opportunity of international cooperation to digest the design method of GDC electrodes and the stress intensity safety assessment to GDC electrode structures under various complicated conditions by applying analysis software such as Catia,Space Claim,and Ansys Workbench.
