Research On Overseas Mergers And Acquisitions Of Household Appliances Industry Based On Strategic Perspective

With the support of the strategic policy of "one belt,one road","going out" and "supply side reform",the Chinese enterprises began to turn overseas from home to overseas,and lifted the wave of overseas mergers and acquisitions.Affected by the trend of overseas mergers and acquisitions of Chinese enterprises and the fierce competition in the industry,household appliances enterprises urgently need overseas enterprises' technology,brand,channel and other resources to seek new economic growth points.In this context,the overseas M&A of household appliances enterprises has shown a leap-forward growth,and overseas M&A has become an important strategic choice for the household appliances industry.However,due to the short history of overseas M&A of household appliances enterprises and the lack of practical experience,overseas M&A faces huge risks.The failure rate of overseas M&A is high,and the failure of overseas M&A may damage the interests of the mergers and acquisitions.Under this background,this paper explores whether household appliances enterprises can effectively select target enterprises.How to guard against risks in the implementation of the strategy? How to deal with resource integration? The research on these problems not only has academic value,but also has research significance.The topic of this paper is based on this.I hope that through the case study of Haier's acquisition of general household appliances in Qingdao,I hope to provide some reference and practical guidance for household appliances enterprises.The main contents of this paper are as follows: Firstly,the competition situation of household appliances industry,the development process of overseas M&A and the characteristics of overseas M&A are analyzed,and the conclusion is drawn that the intensification of competition in household appliances industry promotes the pace of overseas M&A of enterprises.It is necessary for household appliances enterprises to carry out overseas mergers and acquisitions.Overseas mergers and acquisitions should become an important strategic choice for household appliances enterprises.Secondly,through the study of the strategic motivation of the household appliances industry and the risks in the process of M&A,the importance of overseas M&A is explained strategically.At the same time,the risks in the process of overseas M&A are analyzed and countermeasures are put forward.It is concluded that although overseas M&A in the household appliances industry is of strategic significance,there are many risks in the process of overseas M&A.Only by effectively guarding against the risks in the process of M&A,can the M&A decision makers achieve the expected benefits.Then,from the strategic point of view,we take Qingdao Haier's merger and acquisition of general household appliances as the research object,and analyze its motivation for merger and acquisition.How does it guard against risks in the process of M&A? What is the effect of prevention? Finally,combined with case studies,this paper puts forward some suggestions for the domestic appliance industry in China,hoping to provide some help for the strategic choice of overseas mergers and acquisitions of the domestic appliance industry.
