Research On The Spatial Form Of Traditional Residences In The Ancient City Of Zhangzhou

As one of the four major ancient cities in Fujian province,the ancient city of Zhangzhou has produced unique regional culture and rich historical relics in the process of mutual exchange between Central Plain culture,Minyue culture and Marine Foreign culture.It retains the characteristics of each historical period since the establishment of the Tang dynasty,and reflects the regional characteristics of Zhangzhou in terms of urban structure,street pattern,and residential form.It can be said that the ancient city of Tang and Song dynasties,the streets of Ming and Qing dynasties,the style of the republic of China,the charm of southern Fujian,and the combination of Chinese mainland and Taiwan,which is the best summary of it.As one of the main bodies of Zhangzhou,the traditional folk dwellings are the best manifestation of the rich historical and cultural connotation of the ancient city of Zhangzhou.This paper firstly analysed the formation history of the traditional dwellings in the ancient city of Zhangzhou,and provided a background for the study of spatial forms.Then through the investigation and research,this paper analyzed the characteristics of the traditional residential spacial forms of Zhangzhou from the group combination space,architectural form,spatial characteristics and building external form.Then explored the influence factors in the process of its formation,and concluded that the spatial formation is the result of mutual connection and interaction between natural environment,social environment,religion and economic factors.Through the analyzing of the historical history and spatial form of the traditional residences in the ancient city of Zhangzhou,this paper concluded that the ancient city of Zhangzhou has historical,artistic and cultural values,which gives references for modern architectures.Afterwards,this paper gave suggestions of the inheritance of values from the aspects of traditional residences,appearance elements and spatial characteristics based on the value of traditional residences in the ancient city of Zhangzhou.Finally,this paper proposed the prospect of traditional residences in the ancient city of Zhangzhou for researches in the future.
