With the rapid progress of urbanization,the rational planning and construction of natural water circulation system has been neglected,which has resulted in a variety of urban water problems.Based on current situation,to build a sustainable urban development model of“sponge city” is proposed in China,which aims at solving the problems of urban water security,ecology and resource effectively.Sponge City construction is based on urban green space system,and as one of the important components of this system,the content and research on sponge transformation design can provide certain reference for smooth development of sponge park reconstruction and sponge city construction in the future.Firstly,the background,related concepts and basic theories of park sponge transformation is combed through systematically in this paper.Makes a Comparison of the advanced concepts and the research trends of sponge city and sponge park is made in China and foreign developed countries.Then,the trend of the design of sponge transformation in urban parks under the background of sponge city construction is summarized in this paper.Secondly,the necessity and feasibility of park sponge transformation are studied and analyzed,as well as the four relationships to be dealt with in the process of transformation.Based on current situation and demand of existing park,the practical transformation design objectives is defined from the perspective of positioning function and rainwater management.The design strategy and detailed measures of park sponge transformation,are focused on in this paper,i.e.,the best design method of incorporating the concept of sponge city into the process of park transformation are explored so as to make the rainwater runoff in the park complete the stranded,transfer,storage,purify and utilization,proposed the strategy of park transformation based on macro-scale overall design and micro-scale special design transformation.The macro-scale overall design is based on the overall design of the park,the construction of park sponge system,aiming at giving play to the sponge function of the park in the region.The micro-scale is based on the optimization of the park landscape elements,aiming at combining the technology of “infiltration,retention,savings,purify,use and drainage” with the elements of water,green space and roads,and so on to construct rainwater facilities with both ecology and landscape,and establish a rainwater connection system to achieve a virtuous circle within the park.Finally,this strategy is applied to the design practice of sponge transformation of Wanfu park in Dongming,to demonstrate the feasibility of integrating the sponge city concept into the park transformation.By the construction of park sponge system and optimizing the design of various landscape elements such as road pavement,water and others in the park,the sponge park is created,which can penetrate naturally,purify naturally and be self absorbed.
