Research On Symbolic Extract And Innovative Application Of Lu Brocade’s Element

At the material level,Lu brocade is a pure cotton textile;at the technology level,Lu brocade is an advanced traditional weaving technology;at the spiritual level,Lu brocade is the concentrated expression of local folk-custom in the southwest of Shandong province.Therefore,Lu brocade is a combination of materials,skills,regional culture and other factors.Therefore,different factors should be considered in the design study of Lu brocade,and the core characteristics of Lu brocade elements should be extracted and recombined.In the past,because Lu brocade originated from the southwest of Shandong province,Lu brocade had strong functional characteristics,which also made most classic works of Lu brocade have strong contemporaneity and regionalism.With the development and reform of the mode of production,people are more eager to nourish their spiritual culture.At this time,as the carrier of people’s understanding of the local folk-custom in the southwest of Shandong province,we should treat the inheritance and innovation of Lu brocade from the perspective of development.Based on the traditional concept of Lu brocade,the symbolic extraction and redesign of Lu brocade make it enter People’s Daily life in a modern way.On the one hand,it is helpful to spread excellent traditional regional culture;on the other hand,it can stimulate the vitality of the development of regional local folk-custom.This paper analyzes the background and design status of Lu brocade.Lu brocade pattern element and element symbol extraction;the innovative application of design elements in Lu brocade is studied from three aspects.Focusing on the symbolic extraction and application of the designable elements of Lu brocade,this paper analyzes and studies the visual morphological characteristics,folk allegorical characteristics and inheritance mode of Lu brocade,obtains the design application ideas of Lu brocade,carries on the design practice with Lu brocade elements,and summarizes the practical experience and methods.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: the creational thought and rich folk spiritual implication contained in Lu brocade can be the way for people to understand the characteristic culture of southwest Shandong;the symbolic extraction of Lu brocade is not only the visual form,but also the abstract symbolic elements such as Lu brocade’s spiritual meaning and inheritance mode.The design and application of Lu brocade elements based on cultural communication can break through the way of one-way cultural output and adopt interactive cultural products for cultural transmission.
