Exploration Of Hainan Li Brocade Promotion Design And Application

Li nationality developed under the cultivation of Hainan Island’s unique geographical location and natural ecological environment,and created Li brocade’s four processes of spinning,dyeing,weaving and embroidering,which have made great contributions to the development of the Chinese textile industry and owned significant historical value.Furthermore,the contents of Li brocade patterns content reflecting the production and living activities of Li people and their spiritual yearnings,bearing the national culture of Li nationality is of extremely high cultural value.Under the influence of the development of social productive forces and national integration,Li brocade’s textile heritage has gone through a changing process from flourish to decadence.In 2009,it was listed by UNESCO as the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in urgent need of protection.Li brocade like other cultural heritages rarely known by people until now is badly in need of protection by taking effective measures.How to inherit Li brocade culture in nowadays context is the problem in front of us.In this project,research methods combining literature research with practical investigation were used to summarize factors influencing the inheritance and development of Li brocade by analyzing the current inheritance situation and culture of Li brocade.The research method of case analysis method was used to analyze the current development situation of domestic and foreign national intangible cultural heritage and development and to summarize measures available for Li brocade culture’s reference.On this basis,it is proposed to carry out Li brocade cultural promotion and design combined with the visual art characteristics of Li brocade pattern by integrating Li brocade culture into modern life style with the help of the huge tourism market in Hainan.This project is aimed at combining Li brocade culture with tourism from creativity,design to marketing,and ultimately promoting the redesign and application of the intangible cultural heritage Li brocade by using the power of design,thus achieving the objective of promoting its benign inheritance,rational innovation and construction of Hainan international tourism island.In addition,it can provide references for the protection,continuation and redesign of other intangible cultural heritages.
