| The dominant form of architecture is material,but architectural design is indeed a research work with cultural pertinence and adaptability.New vernacular architecture,as a creative tendency,not only reflects the specific natural and ecological conditions,but also integrates the knowledge of humanities,Social Sciences and natural sciences.Especially in the context of the rapid development of today’s society,the more we can feel the interaction and synchronicity of its creation and social and cultural development.The creation of new vernacular architecture emphasizes the return of Chinese value culture,which is also the inevitable product of the crisis consciousness of modern architecture.However,at present,the domestic theoretical research on the creation of new vernacular architecture mostly starts from the field of architecture itself,lacks deep thinking of interdisciplinary,especially from the perspective of cultural semiotics.As the soul of city and architecture,culture is the necessary soil for architectural creation.Architecture is a part of the process of cultural development,and it is the carrier of tangible and concrete culture.Since the late 1950 s,semiotics has become one of the methods of theoretical research in architecture.The relationship between semiotics and architecture has attracted the enthusiastic attention of sociologists,linguists,anthropologists and architects.However,for the creation of new vernacular architecture in contemporary China,relying solely on the analysis and research methods of semiotics may not fully reveal the cultural significance behind architecture.The purpose of this study is to establish a dialogical relationship between the theories of culture and semiotics,so that cultural semiotics will become an academic trend to guide the theory of new vernacular architecture creation.Through the discussion of the interactive relationship between cultural semiotics and the creation of new vernacular architecture,the objectivity and necessity of the establishment of this theory are illustrated.With Morris’ s semiotic theory as the research tool,the discussion of the relationship between cultural semiotics and the texture of new vernacular architecture emphasizes the possibility and necessity of this theory guiding the creation of new vernacular architecture.In terms of concrete discussion,this paper mainly proceeds from the three levels of symbolic structure,symbolic meaning and symbolic use,and combines with the excellent creation of new vernacular architecture in China at present,expecting to make a comment on its cultural symbols borrowing and organizing,meaning metaphor expression,context of cultural symbols and the relationship between people’s ideology,so as to explore and sort out the logic and theory of cultural semiotics guiding the creation of new vernacular architecture.Frame.The application of Cultural Semiotics in this study is innovative and of considerable research value.It is hoped that through the analysis of the practice of contemporary new vernacular architecture in China,we can rethink the plight and problems of new vernacular architecture in contemporary China,and help us re-examine the relationship between human beings and the creation of new vernacular architecture from the broad perspective of cultural semiotics,and provide our own opinions on the future creation of new vernacular architecture in China. |
