Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM)has unique advantages when used in the drive system of electric vehicle due to the merits of its high efficiency,high power density,high torque density and wide speed range,etc.Furthermore,its rotor structure has a great influence on the performance of the motor and can be designed flexibly,so that it is significant to study the influence of the rotor topology on the performance of the motor for encouraging the development and application of the IPMSM.In this thesis,the effects of different rotor topologies on the performance of IPMSM are studied.And the main work is as follows:Firstly,the operating principle of the IPMSM is analyzed and the mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor is introduced.And further to study the vector control theory and the influence of parameters of d,q axis inductance and other parameters on the characteristics and the power characteristics so as to obtain the effects of these parameters on the performance of the motor.It is concluded that the salient pole ratio of the motor should be as large as possible and the flu x-weakening rate should be as close as possible to 1 when optimizing the rotor topology.Secondly,considering the requirement and specifications of the electric vehicle in actual application,a 30kW V-type built-in permanent magnet synchronous motor for electric vehicle was designed according to the theory of motor design,and the 2D finite element simulation model of the motor is built by using Maxwell software.Then,its rotor topology is optimized by two multi-optimization methods,which are scanning method and genetic algorithm.By comparing and analyzing the two obtained optimization schemes,the genetic algorithm is selected and been used on optimizing rotor topologies of U-type,double-V-type,delta-type and double-tangential-type IPMSM.The finite element simulations of the five IPMSM models with different rotor topologies are built,and their performance characteristics,such as no-load characteristics,torque,speed regulation performance,efficiency distribution and demagnetization characteristics are compared and analyzed to obtain their own performance features and applicable occasions,respectively.Finally,the experimental prototype and the experimental platform is built based on the V-type IPMSM because of the best overall performance among the five motors.The results obtained by experiment and finite element method are compared.So that the validity and accuracy of the finite element optimization simulation are verified...
