City is the main gathering place of human social activities.The development of urban space not only affects the choice of human activities,but also has a great impact on the sustainable development of the city itself.Therefore,the study of urban spatial structure is closely related to human life and it is of highly research significance.Traditional urban spatial forms and structure research often takes advantage of traditional population and land census data which are always out of time.With the emergence of big data searching technology and some microscopic data with spatio-temporal characteristics,problems that cannot be solved in traditional research have been well done to some extent.Meanwhile,Haikou City has become the fulcrum city of the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road.There are many urgent problems needed to be interpreted including current urban spatial form,present urban interior space and the future direction of urban space development.And all of these will be analyzed in this paper through multi-source data,from different points of view.In order to proposes optimized proposals with a view to benefiting the sustainable development of Haikou City.this paper compares existing urban planning practices,points out the problems existed in the development of Haikou City,and combines urban development goals with the future of Haikou City.Based on the study of the spatial form and structure of Haikou city,the following conclusions are drawn: Haikou City generally presents the urban spatial structure of “single center – multi-group groups – axial development”.The urban spatial form of Haikou City generally is shown as a “group mode”.The urban space has an east-west direction,but it is still accompanied by a circle-type expansion.The urban form tends to be complex,so the plaque fragmentation trend appears.The Haikou City Center,located in the center group of the old city and presents a “single-center structure”.The Changliu Group and the Jiangdong Group have not formed an obvious urban center yet,and the scale of the urban nodes is unreasonable.The single functional area of city is mainly distributed at the edge of the urban center groups,namely,the Changliu and Jiangdong New Areas.The land utilization rate is quite low.The mixed functional areas are mainly distributed in the old group of the central groups.The functional mixture is relatively high with obvious circle characteristics.In addition,the development among urban internal and marginal,central group and long-flow group and Jiangdong group is imbalanced with weak spatial connection.Based on the status of Haikou urban planning implementation,combined with the urban positioning and development background of Haikou City,this paper proposes that Haikou should develop the concept of “multi-core-group mode-point-axis progressive” urban spatial structure,and control the city's expansion to the south circle.Besides,it should widen the long-flow group and strengthen the space power of the Jiangdong group,and a new urban center will be formed with a gradual expansion of points to axes.
