Under the background that Marine engineering equipment and high-tech ships are listed in the ten key fields of "made in China 2025",in order to achieve the goal of green and energy saving, modern ship manufacturing must be transformed into environmental protection. Therefore, the control strategy and monitoring management of ship power management system are particularly important.Based on the analysis and research of the relevant design and literature of the existing ship power management system at home and abroad, this paper is made of a theoretical analysis and application research on the actual situation of the application of power distribution network of ships at the present stage, and is designed a set of power management system of modern ship.In this paper, the traditional centralized and distributed ship power management system is studied and analyzed in depth, and the distributed ship power management system based on network is designed by integrating the advantages of distributed control system(DCS)and PLC control system. The system transmits data through Ethernet and forms a small local area control network. The improved modern ship power management system is a common multi-functional integrated network platform(information network of power management system of modern ship),which can obtain various data of ship operation status through various control and detection modules, and present them in a unified standard.Due to the control requirements of modern ship system, the data and information transmission amount of the system is huge, which is easy to cause network congestion, seriously affect the real-time and accuracy of the system control, and may even lead to the collapse of the whole ship information network, including the ship power station. Therefore, this paper is focused on the research and analysis of the Active Queue Management(AMQ)control strategy of network congestion control, and proposes an improved Random Early Detection(RED)algorithm. On the NS2 software simulation platform, the improved algorithm is simulated to verify the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed algorithm. The power management system of modern ship based on the information network proposed in this paper is a new type of modern ship engine room energy saving management scheme with Ethernet redundancy structure.Firstly, the frequency conversion control system and power quality management system are integrated into the general network platform of the power distribution board in this scheme, and the information and data are shared horizontally in real time, and the longitudinal process control of the system is realized at the same time.Secondly,in view of the shortcomings of the traditional independent ship power management control scheme based on field bus,the improved scheme which is designed in this paper effectively combines the information data sharing function in the network and various advantages of network technology to realize the optimal control of the engine room frequency converter and active filter. Finally,in order to verify the improved energy saving management scheme, this paper is analyzed and designed the system scheme and system function and computer control management module of modern ship engine room energy saving management, and completed the selection of hardware and software compilation. In order to further verify the feasibility of the improvement scheme, commissioning and trial run are carried out on a certain engineering ship in south of China.Field test results are showed that the scheme is stable and energy saving is worked. From a long-term perspective, the research and design of this system is a powerful exploration of the design and manufacturing of intelligent ships and energy-saving ships. It has very important practical significance for promoting domestic universities and research institutes to analyze and research ship power management systems and improve the safety and economic operation of ship power plants.
